Last June, I arrived at San Gimignano after my connecting flight to Budapest was canceled in Pisa due to a strike. All my travel plans changed and I was no longer able to visit Budapest.

San Gimignano is a medieval town surrounded by breathtaking vineyards and olive groves. What I love the most was the amazing blue skies and sunshine rolling over the marvelous Tuscan hills to perfection. I was traveling with a few girlfriends and we spent almost the whole afternoon sitting and contemplating the views while trying on different wines. In San Gimignano, I had the most delicious ice cream so far.

This was first the time visiting this beautiful Italian town and I'm so thankful I did. I think is really worth visiting at least for one day to discover the medieval towers, architecture, culture, and history.
